What does 'Salutation' and 'Complementary Close' mean?

Parent Previous Next

Reply Assistant can automatically insert a Salutation and a Closing into your emails.

So you do not need to enter texts like "Dear Mr. Doe" and "Sincerely yours" manually again and again.

You can freely adjust the salutation and the closing to your needs:

Click on the button "Settings" in the Group "Reply Assistant" in the Ribbon Menu of Outlook and then click on "Greetings" (See Settings / Greetings).

There you can select which Salutations and Closings should be used for your emails.

You can define different salutations and closings depending on the language of the email, the gender of the recipient and if the name of the recipient was detected.
